The one-bedroom apartment provided a full kitchen and two bathrooms, giving it an upscale residence feel. It’s located across from the ocean and offers a decent view from the balcony when you look past the nearby complexes.
The lack of air conditioning in the living room made for some uncomfortable moments, especially with just a fan trying to do the job. WiFi was inconsistent, often cutting out based on where you were in the apartment, and the couch had old fabric that detracted from relaxation. No on-site dining options were available, and the surrounding neighborhood had a fair number of distractions that made it difficult to unwind.

Great Location with Friendly Staff
We had a lovely 29-night stay in a spacious apartment. The location provided fantastic access to local transport. We appreciated the friendly staff who helped with breakfast delivery and grocery orders. Make sure to visit the nearby local restaurant for a delightful meal. A secure place for longer visits!

The muffins were a breakfast game-changer! Plus, my one-bedroom apartment came with a full kitchen—perfect for whipping up a feast. Also, I loved the spacious layout—lots of room to chill and enjoy the beachy vibes.
Now, the traffic—whoa! Santo Domingo’s horns are like an orchestra gone wild. And don't expect an easy time crossing the streets. it's a bit of a jaywalking adventure!

Good or Bad?
The location is outstanding, surrounded by eateries and a stunning seafront boardwalk. The staff exuded warmth and friendliness, making the stay even more enjoyable! The room was lovely and spacious with a great view and great air conditioning!
Be prepared for issues with weak WiFi—connecting in the living area was quite a challenge. The surroundings can be distracting, with constant hustle and bustle making it hard to relax. No on-site dining options diminished the convenience.

Had a wonderful time at Hotel Shakey! The apartment was spacious with two bathrooms, which made it super convenient for both of us. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing me to cook meals whenever I wanted. Loved the balcony view, even if it was slightly obstructed. Location was solid. being just a block from the ocean made it easy to take relaxing walks along the boardwalk. The staff’s friendliness stood out and really added to the welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the WiFi was a bit inconsistent, especially in the bedroom. Only one air conditioning unit made the living room a little warm. Additionally, the parking lot was a tight squeeze, but I managed. Still, those were minor issues compared to the overall comfort and value. Would definitely consider staying again!

The room I stayed in was a Deluxe One-Bedroom Apartment with Sea View. Super spacious with a separate sitting area and two toilets! The small balcony had a nice sea view, which was a great way to start the day. But the WiFi was pretty weak, especially in the bedroom.

Had a lovely time here! The view from the balcony was serene, and I enjoyed the spacious one-bedroom apartment. Just a heads up, the ocean wasn't directly visible from my room.
